Rankings
Which caption tool is actually best?
Six honest rankings, each judged on one thing and each naming the tools that beat us at it.
We make a captioning tool, so treat these the way you would treat any ranking published by someone in the race. What we can offer instead of neutrality is a method you can check: every list states what it judged on before it ranks anything, every claim about another tool was read off that tool’s own public pages on a stated date, and our own entry on every list says plainly what we are not the right answer for.
We also never quote another company’s prices or plan limits. Those change weekly, a stale number would be wrong before you read it, and a ranking built on numbers that rot is worth nothing six months later. The comparisons here are structural — which currency a tool bills in, whether your video file is uploaded, which scripts it can write, whether captions are the whole product or one feature of an editor.
Best Hinglish caption tools
The big caption tools advertise language lists in the hundreds. Hinglish is in none of them — because it is not a language, it is code-mixing, and a language list cannot express it.

Best Hindi caption tools
Every big tool lists Hindi. Far fewer can draw it — Devanagari breaks in ways Latin text never does, and the failure only shows up in the exported frame.

Best tools for Indian creators
The tools most Indian creators pay for were built for someone earning in dollars and posting in English. Here is what that actually costs, and when it is still worth it.

Best free caption generators
Every free tier restricts something. Ranked by which restriction it picks — because a watermark, a length cap and a locked style catalogue are not equally survivable.

Best Hormozi caption tools
Half the tools that advertise a Hormozi preset get the mechanic wrong. Here is what the style is made of, and which tools reproduce it.

Tools that don’t upload video
If the footage is unreleased, confidential or under an NDA, almost every captioning tool is disqualified by how it is built rather than by its policy.
