How it works

  1. Add and transcribe

Add your media and choose its spoken language. Sign in to generate captions; extracted audio is sent for transcription while the video stays on your device.

  2. Review the result

Play the clip and correct names, numbers and any misheard phrases before choosing the final appearance.

  3. Export and check

Download the captioned video, then play the saved file at its intended viewing size. Keep the editable project for later corrections.

If an interview already includes a name label, move the speech captions or adjust the edit so the two do not overlap. The name identifies the person; the subtitles convey what they are saying.

Protect the picture
Leave the face, demonstration and existing name graphic visible.
Check the destination
A lower position in the video may collide with a social platform’s controls.

Do not stack every message at the bottom

Check the longest name and the longest caption separately. A panel that fits a short introduction can fail later when the line is wider.

Placement is a final-preview decision

There is no universal safe position across every player. A lower-third graphic that works in a landscape presentation may sit behind controls in a vertical feed.

Review the saved file inside the intended posting interface. A neat editor preview cannot guarantee that the platform will leave the same region clear.

Common questions

Is a lower third the same as subtitles?

No. A lower third often identifies a person or topic; subtitles follow speech. They can share a visual style but need different content and timing.

Will the style avoid every platform overlay automatically?

No. Check the destination preview and reposition the text if necessary.

Can viewers turn the card off?

A card burned into exported video cannot be disabled. Use a separate subtitle track when viewer control is required.
