How it works
Add and transcribe
Add your media and choose its spoken language. Sign in to generate captions; extracted audio is sent for transcription while the video stays on your device.
Review the result
Play the clip and correct names, numbers and any misheard phrases before choosing the final appearance.
Export and check
Download the captioned video, then play the saved file at its intended viewing size. Keep the editable project for later corrections.
For a tutorial, position captions clear of the controls being demonstrated. For an interview, leave the speaker’s face and name graphic visible. For a product film, preserve the detail the camera is showing.
- Simple starting points
- Compare Minimal, Subtitle and Explainer on the same passage.
- Subtle variation
- Try Anchor, Whisper or Footnote when placement and typography matter more than effects.
- Readable at small sizes
- Check real viewing size before choosing a thin or widely spaced treatment.
Use restraint where viewers need concentration
A quiet style still needs enough visual separation from the background. Check a bright scene change as well as the shot where you chose the colour.
Read the sentence at its actual pace
A long line that looks elegant when paused can be difficult during fast speech. Group words into meaningful phrases and avoid isolated fragments that make viewers reconstruct the sentence.
Do a sound-off pass from beginning to end. If you miss a key point, adjust the grouping, timing or appearance rather than adding decorative motion.
Common questions
Does minimal mean no background panel?
No. A subtle plate can improve clarity over changing footage. Choose based on readability rather than an absolute visual rule.
Is a very thin font more premium?
Not if it becomes difficult to read on a phone. Weight and contrast should suit the actual viewing conditions.
Can I keep captions optional?
Use a separate SRT or VTT track in a compatible player. Burned-in minimal captions are still permanent pixels.
